The headset looks exactly like the OE version, except the button (to push whenever you want to answer incoming calls) DOES NOT WORK!! Other than that, the sound comes through evenly and the fit in the ears is comfortable.

For the price, the headphones have good sound, although they are a little heavy. Can’t expect much more for the price. However, the build quality of the clip is cheap and it broke within a month, with moderate use. For that reason alone, I would not recommend this product.

I am a wired headset person and usually need a replacement every 3 months. These seem to be of the original quality, with good sound quality and good mic.

Excellent product. Can’t beat the price but shipping is somewhat pricey. Would definitely recommend it.

I prefer a wired headset to bluetooth because:

    pros:

    1) less hassle getting the connection to work.

    2) my friends with bluetooth headsets, every now and then they can’t hear me or I can’t hear them.

    3) I can listen with both ears. This makes for a huge improvement in intelligibility, for me. I can transfer the headset to any mp3 player or cell phone.

    4) using my phone as an mp3 or video player, I can listen to music in stereo and decent quality with the same headset I use to make calls.

    5) the sound is much better at both ends. The bluetooth headsets I have heard transmit noticeably degraded sound compared to the cell phone mic itself, whereas many wired headsets deliver improved sound from the microphone.

    7) I don’t have another device to keep charged and to keep track of the charger, and to have both a car charger and a wall charger.

    6) I use a headset not only for much improved sound quality at both ends, but also to reduce the serious radiation hazard. Bluetooth has much less radiation than a cell phone radio, but it still has some. The wired headset produces no EM itself (although some people claim that the wires can transmit EM, I haven’t seen any peer reviewed studies supporting this.)

    cons:

    1) The wires get tangled up if you are not very careful putting them away. It is a pain to have to spend a minute untangling wires to make a call.

    2) It’s not convenient to wear all day. You have to insert the ear buds to take a call.

I have tried many headsets. These are a superb bargain. I bought a number to cover loss and breakage, and to keep one in the car, etc.

My previous favorite were the VMODA Vibe II headsets, which have very good sound and seem well built. However, many people including me report they fail frequently due to electrical connections breaking. They are also expensive, although since a new model is out the old model has dropped a lot in price from 3rd party vendors. If treated carefully, and you are lucky and the wires don’t disconnect, these are a good option.

Compared to the Vmoda, listeners at the other end report this microphone sounds better. The earbud sound is crisp, although the bass is not as strong as the Vmoda, for the price difference the sound is remarkably good.

They are more comfortable to wear; I happen to like this post style of ear bud. It is open rather than noise isolating, which could be an issue in a very noisy environment. But it also creates a broader soundstage.

They seem very well made, although I have only had it a few days.

I use it in various different mp3 players and cell phones. I don’t know if the control button works except with the specified Blackberry models, probably not; I answer and hang up calls on the phone itself.

You might find this same product on Amazon from another vendor at a different price.
