Much better than the first Risk, I wish I had bought this one first! It has the classic Risk like Risk 1, a tournament Risk, and online playability. My biggest complaint is that no one else is ever online though! So buy it and play against me people! I love that they incorporated online gameplay because I get so sick of beating the computer. Risk 1 is way too easy, but Risk 2, on Tournament mode, provides a challenge and variety. Also you can play with up to 8 altogrther (human or computer). I knew I had the right game when I mumbled “I’m sick of losing” to my husband and he replied, “So you don’t like it, huh?” “No, I love it! I hate winning all the time, too!” Which was my problem with the first. So this version has a nice balance and many more challenges, though I will agree with another reviewer that it sucks restarting the whole tournament when you get so far and fail one scenario. I wish I could restart at that scenario and not have to replay from the beginning again! But overall I love it and highly recommend it and hope many more people buy it and get online! Let’s fight for World Domination!

always one of my favorite board games and now without the tedious and time consuming set up. and no “accidental” bumps of the board scattering pieces.

True to the original in almost every way. Colors and graphics are nice. The only personal preference I have (and I won’t deduct points for this,) is I wish the rapid-play didn’t have to be triggered at each turn. Download Games site at AMZ seemed new…and a great idea.

Risk addicts will enjoy this version as it offers many unique ways of playing. Being one who did all night Risk games in college was really happy to see this product.

I have a netbook with xp so the download and play was mostly error free except for an error message that occurs only when I get defeated. I was considering buying the board game but it was like $26 and this download only $7. It has the classic Risk along with other features that enhance the gameplay. There is a multiplayer option under the hot-seat mode which works just fine. The dice rolls with a click of the mouse pretty randomly I guess. If you like the board game and have a compatible system, the download would be worth the risk.
